The Getty and Its Angles

We welcomed the new year there, still sharpened by Ecstasy, much like the building’s edges. Two snowbirds basked in the sun on the lawn, asking Google about Mr. Getty. The emotions I felt were angular like our surroundings, warped and arcing towards the horizon. I remember the sky being bluer than the camera could gather. For a moment, we were on top of the City of Angels, feeling the nostalgia radiate from the valley. We captured our walk along the estate’s grand perimeter to add some final scenes to the delusion. Only a few more hours until I would receive the letter you were writing in the grass. I knew that would be our finale. We lasted about as long as the shutter’s motion. Now, just images like those in the museum. Perhaps our works will meet there again one day.
